Lifescopes Community Learning - A Registered Charity, No: 1133390 based in Bournemouth with a remit to work throughout Dorset.
Our objects are:

To benefit those suffering from severe and enduring mental health difficulties, their carers and families, by the provision of computer and internet access, training and support as a way of advancing their education, chances of employment and social welfare.

To provide an environment of supported self motivated learning that builds confidence and self esteem; to establish optimism and a sense of purpose sufficient to begin the process of taking back control and discovering interests and new roles in life after illness, isolation and distress.
- To establish local community based centres in which our clients may progress to provide training for their peers, carers, seniors, elderly and other members of the public from digitally excluded groups, in an environment that will support interaction and progress for all taking part.

We aim to maintain a 50% mental health service user ratio, on our staff, volunteers and our management Trustees.

In Christchurch our service provides additional community resource. Our volunteers provide basic IT & Internet training to members of the public alongside our mental health clients in a socially inclusive, community setting with access to cafe and disabled facilities.

We seek additional local, educational and employment placement organisations to work together with and, to whom we can refer our clients where it furthers their needs, aims and wishes.
- We are not a refuge or a club but work alongside our associate organisations to increase confidence, knowledge and competance, to give choices and opportunities for further education, volunteering, employment and in other areas of life.
